If you were nominated then you can be put on the basic listing for free. That's what I did. I certainly would not pay for it.

From what I understand, it's free unless you want to buy the book...? I threw mine away, thinking it was some gimmick. Then my school sent me a congratulatory letter. Oh well.

I also got one of those in the mail. I doubt that it is going to benefit anyone to much. Another money making scheme and a good way to get a new telemarketing list into circulation, only you pay for it not them. Save your money as far as im concered. If by chance there is anyone out there that can show me any benefits of this,, please by all means let me know and Ill stand corrected.

I havent been in school for over 3 years now, i got one when i was in school and ignored it. They will continue to send them every so many years, just in case you didnt get on their list the first time.

Alright, here is my experience. I was stupid enough to agree for their membership. Very sweet lady from them called me and convinced it's such a great thing to have, and nice credential, and blah-blah-blah. I asked my instructor yesterday about it and she said it's worthless, it's not a real credential, means nothing academically and total waste of money. So I called them this morning and said I changed my mind since yesterday and do not want their membership anymore. Which means, I want my money back.

You won't believe what kind of conversation I have had whith their financial director. :angryfire He yelled at me, he woldn't listen, he even insulted me saying since I have such an accent, I was not able to understand what they intially told me - that their price for membership is final and non-refundable. He said they have everything on tape: that I have agreed to pay money to them and they processed the whole thing already. It was outrageous.:angryfire

I am totally disgusted with this company and warn you from having any business with them. They are HORRIBLE. It was the most unpleasant experience for me.

TifRN2B--it's just an "award" sent to some students--I don't know how they choose who--congratulating them on being a "Who's Who" among students nationwide. I got a letter congratulating me on being nominated by my school, and then asking if I wanted to order the commemorative book with everyone's name in it for $80 or some other ridiculous amount of money.

My high school daughter got a who's who letter. I had to buy the book. I felt if I didn't, what was my message to her? They got one over on me for sure. :rolleyes:

I got a letter from them too. Figured it was some kind of gimmick.
