It ticks me off that stuff like that happens. That happened to me last year also, so this year I applied to 5 schools.
Do you have the option of applying to more in your area? Also, if you still need some pre-req's done, this coming year would be the time to take more or finish them up. That's always a plus when you have them done or close to being done.
well, there is one other program that i didnt apply to, but i think that the deadline has already passed...but maybe ill still get in on the waiting list, since it is a pretty short list, and i havent heard back from the other school yet. but i am 8 weeks away from finishing my associate in arts, so i dont have any prereqs left. if i dont get to start till next spring, then i guess ill just have a semester off...which wouldnt really be terrible, just not what i had planned on. anyone else have any experiences with being put on a waiting list and eventually getting in?
Last year I was on the waiting list. I'm not sure what number I was on the list, but they called me about a month before school started to tell me that a space opened up, and if I wanted it, it was mine! Just hang in there! I'm sure you'll get in by the time school starts. People always drop out because they apply to numerous schools to better their chances of getting into a program.

I just went to my interview at my first choice nursing school, and it went well, they were impressed with my gpa and everything, it sounds like they will definitely accept me, except that they take applications on a rolling basis and are full with 8 people already on the waiting list for fall. Im kind of annoyed because i waited to apply in december at the end of the semester instead of in november when they first started accepting applications...i dont know. i guess theres still a chance ill get in there, and i did apply to another school that ill hear from by the middle of march, but im still disappointed.
