  1. Check out http://www.versant.org for more information on an RN Residency. It is a 22 week program consisting of classes and following a preceptor.
  2. I finally decided to purchase a PDA. I am thinking about getting either Epocrates or Pepid, which are both subscription programs with all of the essentials for nurses. Can anyone who has used either one or both tell me which is better? Thanks!
  3. I lasted only one day as a CNA. I took a job through an agency, and they sent me to a nursing home, where there gave me 11 patients to bathe, feed, etc. I actually cried in the middle of the shift. I was so tempted to walk off the job, but it took everything in me to stay. I can honestly say I would rather work at Mcdonald's for the pay they give you.
  4. Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (Stanford) has a good NICU program. I believe it starts in March and August .
