If your bookstore doesn't have it you could try ebay, that has saved me before.

I've have a few of those DUH! Moments myself. Don't feel back. If you're in a big hurry try Amazon and pay for having it shipped one day.

I rarely buy books from my bookstore, I buy them from Half.com. It is run by Ebay. It has been my experience that the books are significantly cheaper and often there are older editions that I needed. In addition, the books are often sold by other students so the highlighting is often of all the important material. Bonus for me!!!! Hope you can find what you need :)

You are not stupid!
Many times we have all been in a predicament that could have been avoided. Just shop for your book and get it...it'll be ok! :)

Check your school library. Most current texts are there for reference.
Perhaps your prof has an extra copy you can borrow?
Also, Barnesandnoble.com has a better supply of texts than amazon.com -- and I'm a regular at the latter.
Good luck.
