Hello fellow nursing students and registered nurses.

There has been something on my mind for a while that has been bothering me a lot.

I am currently a little bit past midway of my nursing education. Around this time I had a friend who was interested in nursing. Honestly, I believe I worked harder trying to get her into nursing than I did for myself. I forced her to make appointments to get the process started, gave her books and all sorts of materials for them to use in science classes, and was always available for help.

They ended up flunking the first biology class they took; then they retook this class and didn't get a much different grade.

Long story short, they now detest nursing, and anything related to its existence.

But here is what grinds my gears!

So since they cant get into nursing because it "is too hard and stressful" (because apparently everyone else in nursing is totally calm and chill all the time)

Apparently they want to go to medical school to become a doctor...

I am sorry, WHAT?

I am not saying anything about the quality of work nurses or doctors do, but how in the world do you plan on being a doctor if you cant pass a basic class.

Does this make any sense?

So, let's recap: Flunk bio twice and decide nursing is too difficult. Med school is next on the agenda of things that get easier and more manageable. Either way, they're going to have to pass that dang bio class and them some!

Ya, perfect sense!

Ummm...flunk bio twice and you are JUST as UNLIKELY to get into med school. I really do admire their reasoning though. :-P (LOL!)

:confused::confused::confused::confused::lol2:

Flunking bio twice? Really? Dont get me wrong bio can be difficult but its not rocket surgery. I say you should convince them to go to medical school and once they do we'll start a pool on how long they will last. My bet is not past bio.

I'm dying to find out more about that rocket surgery. :lol2:
