I was wondering how much books cost for the first semester. I know they are going to be exspensive but how exspensive... . And do you get to use them again later down the line? Just wondering....Sept. will be here before we know it!!

I bought new, cuz no one sells used ones, at least not at my school. I bought most of the required ones, and a few recommended ones as I went along. You can always get it later, but they're not too good at taking them back!
Also, talk to people a year or 2 ahead of you in the program... they can tell you which books to buy and which ones to just use from the library! I remember in first year we all went and hung out in the Health Sci bookstore, and got advice from 2nd and 3rd year students... I found it really helpful! There were some "required" books that other students said were pointless to buy. I didn't buy any of those right away, and have not regretted it at all! I think I bought one maybe during the year.
Hope this is helpful!! Good luck! :)
I paid around $400 for my first semester. Then around $100 for second semester, and we use those books the rest of the time.
I bought many of my books from
They have much cheaper prices for the most part and the books come very quickly and if you buy 2 or more books there is no shipping!
Hope that helps!

1st semester was around $1200 counting books, tuition, malpractice insurance and uniforms with stethoscope, BP cuff, scissors. I'm in an ADN program.
