I am new here as well. I am 21, recently married and applying to an ADN program at a community college in Northern Virginia. I have a great husband who is a marine and he's behind me 100% in my desire to become a nurse.
I plan to move to NC and go into an ICU when I graduate and then continue for my BSN.
    Nice to meet everyone.

Hey everybody! I'm kinda new to this and I think this board is great! There seems to be such a lack of unity in the nursing profession and I think that this board provides an arena for nurses of all ages and stages in their profession to pass on a little hard earned knowledge! (I pray that I'll have some one day!

Anyway, I'm 20 years old. I just finished my first semester of a BSN program and I've totally found my niche! I love nursing! Several of my aunts are nurses and they keep telling me that It'll hit me in the face one day and I won't be able to stand it. But, I don't believe them!

Anyway, congrats to everyone who has already graduated and good luck to those of you ( like me) who are still trudgin' through. God willin' and the creek don't rise we'll make it!

    Have a great day everyone!

Im seventeen, going through the pre req's. I work as a cna on a snf/rehab floor. I also dont disclose my age readily as most people tend to think i have no skills when they find out...I have been doing this work for three years and am in the process of furthering my medical qualification. Im good at what i do, who cares how old I am?

hey all, this is my very first post!!!

I am 24 and working on prereq's. I hope to get into a hospital based diploma program, because the hospital near me is one of the best in the area. I am so excited about being back in school (dropped out of community college in 96) and my hubby is COMPLETELY backing me) By the time I start the nursing program (either the ADN or diploma) I will be 25. I have no kids, just a WONDERFUL sweet fantastic hubby who I have been married to for 4 years (almost) and 2 great cats. I am a massage therapist which is great because the part time hours work great with school.
I am so at peace with the world now that I have decided to go for the RN. I have wanted this forever!!

I just recently turned 23 and will be (hopefully) starting my ADN this fall. I have wasted time at my present job trying to climb up the ladder and am tired of it. I should've started the nursing program 2 years ago when I first became interested in it. But this is it ... I'm tired of wasting time ..

Any of you in an ADN program in Georgia?
