Hi there! And welcome! I'm not quite in the same boat, but I am married and have a 2 year old daughter. Are you going for your RN? I'm in LPN school right now and them I'll go for my RN. It seemed like it'd be easier that way. Good luck with school!!

i am 41, have 3 children, 1 young adult and 2 teenagers. i work as an lpn and will start rn school in august.

Im glad to hear i'm not the only one with kids and family. It's overwhelming to think that pretty soon I'm going to have to transform into "supermom"! ha ha ! But I'm really encourged to know that other's do it, so I can too. Stephany, honestly I dont envy you. Whenever I complain about my 7 year old, 3 year old and 7 month old brats, moms of teenagers always say... "little kids little problems, big kids, big problems..." Would you agree?

Before too long, you'll be ADDICTED to us...so BEWARE!!! :chuckle: You've come to the right place for support and encouragement as you go through nursing school. I, myself, went through college while married and raising three wee ones, so your work is cut out for you before you even get started...and YES...I too turned into a Super Mom during those years, and you probably will too, but remember to be good to YOURSELF in the process. Don't forget to continue loving on those wee ones as often as you can...and remember to include some time for your husband and you without the kiddies. Need a sitter? Fly me to Cally and I'd be happy to babysit for you as long as we can spend a lot of time at my favorite beach there (Carlsbad Beach and Pismo Beach), and I love hanging out in Solvang and going over to Catalina Island for a day to shop. Can you handle all those bennies if you hire me? :rotfl: Hang in there, and much success to you in your life's journey with yourself, your family, and your future career as a :nurse: :kiss

I LOVE Pismo, and Solvang! As for Catalina, I've lived here my whole life and never been there yet! My dh and I are planning on going soon w/ o the kids (wee ones - I like that)
