Hi Everyone.. I Am Really Trying To Find This Information.. I Was Wondering If There Is Any Nursing School That You May Know Of That Offers Nursing Courses In The Summer With Clinical Component. I Am Not Talking About The Little 3 Hour Nursing Courses ..i Am Talking About The 5/6 Hour Nursing Courses.. Well If You Guys Have Them At Your School. I Am Located In Louisiana And My School Does Not Have Nursing Courses In The Summer That Have Clinical Components Along With Them. Any Information Regarding This Will Be Greatly Appreciated. Thankyou So So So Much!

I'm not in LA, but Michigan and we do have classes in the summer. Not 5/6 hour clinicals, but 8-10 hours a day two days a week for the whole summer. Hope this helps.

Yes This Helps Alot.. I Am In Nursing School Now..but I Am Trying To Go Someplace Else For The Summer.. I Apologize For The Misunderstanding.. I Meant The Class Is Worth 5/6 Credits And Not 3 Credits. We Spend The Minimum Of 8 Hours A Day In Clinicals. Can You Please Give Me Any Information On Your School.. I Need To Find Out If I Would Be Able To Transfer The Credits Back To My School So I Can Graduate Early. I Really Hate Being Down Here And I Am Trying To Move On To A Better Area For My Masters. Unfortunately, I Will Be Getting My Icu Experience Down Here And My Master Of Science In Biology. Please Give Any Information.. Others In Other Areas Please Provide Any Information..thankyou Guys So Much.. Have A Blessed Holiday And Thanks For Your Help.

I dont know of any nursing school that will allow you to transfer between programs. Never heard of a nursing class done over the summer. Im quite confused, you want to transfer programs and then leave after the summer for your ICU job and master's degree?

Why are you writing everything with initial caps? It kind of distracts from your message.

lol. its called style. i was just gonna say..something wrong with ur shift key?

Okay, it may be his style, but it hurts my eyes :uhoh21: :uhoh21: .

If I understand this post, it seems you are asking for info about taking accelerated nursing clinical courses at another university during the summer so you can transfer the credits back to your school in order to finish the program sooner. Did you check with your school to find out if they will accept clinical credits back in transfer from another nursing school? Many of them won't, you know. Another thing to consider is that most nursing schools have their own pool of students who are on waiting lists to progress through the program in a very limited number of clinical spots, and they will not admit transient students from other nursing schools into the few available spaces.

ULM offers certain levels in the summer and will start the accelerated BSN program this January (you have to have a bachelors degree already in another field to be accepted) Hope it helps!

Thanks To Everyone That Replied.. And Please.. Keep The Replies Coming.. And To The Young Lady That Was Quote Unquote 'distracted' By My Typing In All Caps.. By All Means.. Please Don't Read..

Ok I Should Have Explained My Situation Better.. I Am Just Trying To Graduate Sooner.. However, At My School You Must Take Things Exactly The Way It Is In The Curriculum.. And Since They Dont Have Any Nursing Class With A Clinical Component In The Summer I Would Have To Stay In School For 5 Semesters.. So I Was Thinking If I Could Go To Summer School And Just Do My Clinical Rotations Then .. It Would Be Better For Me.. And I Was Saying That When I Graduate.. While Working In The Icu.. I Will Be Working On My Master's Of Science In Biology..

Well I Hope This Has Cleared Up Many Things... Please If You Have More Information..by All Means Please Help Me Out...all Of Your Help Is Appreciated.. Have A Very Merry Christmas..

Well, I'm an old bat, and it bothers me too. If you look at any reference for good manners on the internet, not indulging in style is one of the most important points. (What does it say about one when one does something on purpose knowing that it irritates others?)

Besides if we don't read your posts, we can't answer your questions..... What wonderful stuff might you be missing? And why bother posting then?

You might find if you follow the usual method that it is less work for you and that there are many of us who might have something to share that you want to know.

Like the answer to your question.

I'm totally with Tony35NYC.
