I applied to the RN/BSN program as a transfer student. Still haven't received any word though. I called the nursing department because CSULA wants me to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit by May 1 but I really don't want to shell out that money if I'm not going to get accepted to the program. The woman I spoke with at the nursing office said she expected the notifications to go out before May 1 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck!
I have earned myself a score of 23, but it does get more competitive each year so I'm still hoping for the best.
Are you guys students at CSULA already or are you guys transfers as well?
After almost 2 years of prerequisites and general education classes, I'm very much excited to start those upper division Nursing courses. =]
The reality is, most Nursing programs in the CSU system is cutting down on the number of students they accept each year. So it does get more competitive each year. Since I am not a current student at CSULA, I don't have a lot of insight on how the program works and how they place their students. If I had to guess though I would say that students with the highest score will get the first placement this Fall 2010. How is CSULA btw? Any insight or advice you can give to a potential student?
I got a call yesterday. I also got a letter today. I got in for the fall. My points were 24/31 and my overall GPA was only a 3.4. My Pre-req GPA was a 3.9 or something. They told me for those who were accepted, they want to know who will be accepting the positions because the 100$ deposit is due on sat. So, they were probably contacting every one on wedensday. If i made it in with 24 points, those with 23 points are most likely accepted or up at the top of the wait list. Good luck
