How many here has applied for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at CSULA?

I hope you will all share the same relief I will have once I receive a notification of acceptance, God willing.

Any of you guys know how they will contact us, whether it be by mail, email or telephone?

did anyone get accepted for spring?

i got an email indicating i was waitlisted for the generic nursing program starting in fall 2010.

so does that mean they don't have a spring class anymore?

i was surprised to get a waitlisted letter because i was expecting to receive one in late may or something.

CSULA Has sent out all it's acceptance, waitlisted, rejection letters alread.

I called them today.

They said that due to budget cuts they will not be having a Spring Quarter Cohort.

I received my letter like April 11-13. =) You should have received your letter by now...

hey you guy.. i have a question about the application procedure. Im actually applying for fall 2011 but there is some stuff confusing me. The point system is base on the prerequiste GPA, cumulative GPA, ATI test and prvious experience or work which is a total of 31 points. But what I dont understand is that for the prereq. gpa point, its only calculating the 6 prerq that is due by march instead of the overall 8 prereq. IS that correct? But what if I will be finish will all the eight prereq, would they use all eight of the prereq classes that i would have finish before march for the prerq gpa or is it still just the six course? Another thing is the cumulative Gpa, it would only calculate the college level class you have finish so far, not including the class that are still in progress, is that correct? All and these point calculation would be done BEFORE May because it is in May that they will send out notification letters? Is that correct?

congrats, what was your score?

I'm currently a freshman, and going to apply fall 2010 for the fall 2011. So I'm hurrying and trying to get all my pre-reqs done.

Please let me know what your score was, and when did you apply? I'm so happy for you. I am really nervous and stressed out of getting into the program.

If anyone else is reading: Do you suggest any other nursing schools? Of course, UCLA, BIOLA, and etc. are the greatest but it has to be somewhere around my budget.

Are you currently in CSULA? We could discuss this in person.

If you went to the advisor theres this paper, it says the 8 pre-req's are the GPA they see.. ( i believe) and the MICRO and other stuff they give you a bit more time but you still need to hand in the grade which will be put into their evaluation.

I am also trying to apply for fall 2011 (so I am applying fall 2010)

It's really stressful :(

How hard is their RN-BSN program here at CSULA? Are the instructors hard on students? Is it possible to work and go to school at the same time? What is the clinical rotations like? Hope someone will give me a brief summary of this school.
