Amy - Congrats on the job! Have you started yet?
Angela - I'm not at all surprised that you did well on your test, I'm sure you'll get into the program, but that doesn't make the waiting any easier! How are yall liking your new town?
Paleo - Good luck on the exam... I'm so glad we didn't have to take one for our school!
Heather - I'm so sorry to hear that, please know that we'll certainly be keeping your family in our prayers!
Agent - So does that mean you got into the program, or do you know yet?
Mar 19, '04I start the new job on Monday. I have to show up bright & early at 6:30am to get a physical (I don't think anyone can be healthy at 6:30am!!) and then I sign all the HR papers, then it's off to security to get my badge & after that (finally), I'll go to orientation. I'll be at the hospital from 6:30 til 4:30...and I'll probably be too pooped to pop afterward! Tuesday I'll have another 1/2 day at the hospital for more orientation, then I'll go to one of the clinics to start my dialysis orientation.
It's pretty exciting, actually.
I had to drop my pharmacology class for spring quarter though because it conflicted with my work schedule, so it looks like I'll be on an extended spring break. Took my last exam in A&P last night & did horribly, but really at this point, I don't care. I'm just glad to be outta that class. No more A&P for me!!!! :hatparty:
Mar 19, '04I'm 2006, too. This semester I'm finishing up all my prereqs. I already have all the good stuff (A&P, chem, micro) finished so this semester I have to go back and take all the classes that I kept putting off. That's why I'm in 2 lit classes, political science, and a couple of other non-science/nursing classes right now. This semester is b-o-r-i-n-g. :uhoh21:
Mar 19, '04Mavnurse,
Don't worry this is only temporary.....but I know what you mean about boring courses. I have taken all of my pre-req's also...I have been accepted to an out-of-county RN program...still waiting on the letter from my CC that I'm attending now. So this semester I'm taking 2 Soc. courses Social Gerontology and Understanding Death and Dying. They aren't what I thought they were going to be. :-(

Mar 20, '04manna, I'm liking Chattanooga better I guess. It helps that it's spring time and the sun is out, etc. I absolutely hate winter, the lack of daylight, the gray dreary skies, it totally bums me out! If I would, I would go to bed after Thanksgiving and not get up until March! anyway, I was getting so antsy about my application that I actually went by the allied health office at school to make sure that I had everything in and the secretary looked at my file in the computer and said that I had enough points to qualify for the interview even without my HOBET test scores so she said I didn't have anything to worry about. But I'm still gonna obsess about it anyway. Here's to a quick spring!
Mar 20, '04add me to the list pof those awaiting acceptance.. i plan to email the school's director this week and make sure I havent missed anything either.
