Nursing Students General Students

Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

oh man, kimhaw, if my husband had done that, oooooh, he would have hell to pay! ;) just kidding but I would at least see if you could get a dinner or night out for all the mental pain and anguish you went through :chuckle

Congrats on getting accepted! Acceptance letters here don't go out until June! It's gonna be a long spring.

A

Man, I'd be hot under the collar if my husband forgot to give me "THE LETTER"! Congrats on getting in though! Fantastic!

Agent...you're right...some of those words in the verbal section were totally alien to me. I did my best & made some educated guesses. I'm sure you did fine though. I didn't think I did as well as I did. You'll make it out ok, I just know it. :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence Amy

I am finishing my prereqs this semester before starting this fall and will graduate in 2006. I have five semesters for the nursing program besides the prereqs (but summer is included. I am 26 and the mother of two girls (6 years and 14 months).

Welcome to the board!!! I hope you enjoy coming here as much as we do. Think of us as a "cyber shoulder" to vent, lean on, brag about and celebrate.

hey all, haven't visited in a while. i've been so frustrated :angryfire about prob not starting in the fall. i've taken extra classes, just so i could start in fall, because i'm done with all pre-reqs. i've been working tail off, and now i'm told, there's a good chance i won't start in the fall because there's a bunch of "a" students applying, (no, i'm not an a student) dang overachievers :p . so thanks for hearing me vent, i guess i'll just keep taking classes towards bsn.

I'll be included in this category. :) I'm getting excited and nervous about starting this fall in the nursing program. I'll be taking A&P I this summer. This fall I'll be taking Pharmacology, Fundamentals of Nursing I and Fundamentals of Nursing II.

It's going to be crazy working fulltime, going to school and trying to find time with my family. My son currently is getting a kick out of the Smilies on the screen. He's standing over my shoulder wanting to take over. hehe He's 4 and loves gadgits.

Shell

Hello DragonFly Shell-

It sounds like we are in a similar situation. Did you just start an R.N. program? I hope to be accepted in the Fall. I'm sorry if you've already answered these questions...I haven't looked through all of the preceeding posts.

Sorry to hear that Heather... hope the tide turns and you get surprised by an acceptance letter anyway, though! :)

Welcome Shell! I know what you mean about going crazy... I work full-time, have two boys (5 and 2) and take classes, and it's enough to drive even the most serene person absolutely bonkers! :)

Is it tacky to call the nursing/admissions department and ask on the status of acceptance/rejection letters? I'm just wondering when they'll be sent out and the wait is driving me nuts!

I will be starting the RN program this fall. Thanks for asking. :)
