Class of 2006

Nursing Students General Students

Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

That's great, Paleobug! Hopefully you'll get your letter soon. :)

It's killing me waiting on an acceptance/rejection letter here! When I spoke to my advisor in January, she said letters should go out early-mid February. Last time I emailed her (end of January) she said they'd go out the 2nd week of March.

I was at a scholars day (for transfer students) at the college last weekend and left my name and phone no. with another member of the nursing faculty (they had a booth set up) and she said she'd have her give me a call and let me know the status of my application, but I haven't heard from her. I guess all she could tell me would be that the letter will be in the mail in a week or two, but I'd still like to know! Ugh!

Going crazy here, I have to be the world's most impatient person! :D

manna!!! Hey how have you been? Yup i was supposed to find out in mid-march if i was accepted or not and they moved the date to mid MAY...HELLO!!! it's going to be one heck of a spring waiting for that letter....i just pray and hope i got in! i don't know though...ARRRGGGGHHHH! this waiting game stinks!

good luck all!

Thanks Sprtbikegrl. :)

Still waiting... I jokingly told everyone that I hoped I would get two big fat letters from school tomorrow (for my birthday, would be a great present LOL): an acceptance to the nursing program, and a big scholarship offer. :)

Agent - wishing you lots of luck on your entrance exam tomorrow! :)

Hello Class of 2006,

I hope everyone is surviving school right now...this semester is going by so fast...April 26th is the last day for me. I have decided to register for an LPN program in my area...just in case both of the CC's that I applied to try to screw me over again.... :o . My mother is the one who told me about the LPN program...it's free for residence in Essex County, it's a one year program...from Sept. 2004 to Sept. 2005....did I mention that it's FREE!!! :coollook: . The books, uniforms, everything are included. So just to have a back up plan...I think that this is the best choice. If I am accepted into one of the R.N. programs then I'll just forfeit my spot in the LPN program...the only thing that I'll be losing is a $25.00 registration fee.

Oh my gosh, Fatima!!!! You are so fortunate to have a FREE LPN program up in

North Jersey. I am from South Jersey and there is no such animal down here. Before

deciding to go ASN, I looked into the LPN programs and the waiting lists are ridiculous.

A few of the programs wouldn't even take student loans. Quite a few of the LPN programs

are set up to accept more Workfare/Welfare recipients. Which, IMHO, is a great idea, but

dang, it would have been nice to save some slots for other people.

Sorry for the rant! Really Fatima, get your application in ASAP.

Best of luck, class of 2006!!!

Got my entrance exam 2night.. wish me luck LOL

I'm sure many of us will be thinking of/pulling for you, Agent! Good luck... let us know how it goes! :)

I am 28, married 10 years and mother of a 10 & 2 year old...I am working fulltime and planning to do the Deaconess web-based ADN with PN comp starting this Fall 2004. I should hear about acceptance by the end of this month!

If all goes as planned I will finish my ADN December 2006...

I have most of my prereqs completed... I just need to do my Micro & A & P over this summer...I know it will be hard to do both but I want to get them out of the way...

You took the words right out of my mouth. (except for the girl school part)

I am online right now triying to research this school. I am curious as
