Bummed about not getting in....

I received my first "I am sorry letter". I live in the Central Valley in CA. I applied to 3 different community colleges for their RN program. I got my first letter from Fresno City College. They said they are sorry but my name wasn't picked for the fall lottery. I will be entered for the spring of '05 lottery. I was expecting it but it still sucked. Anyone else out there still trying to get in? Anyone else tried to get into Fresno City College? And if so how long did you wait? (I realize that after waiting 4 years you're automatically in but I am wondering if anyone has made it in before that)

Yeah my school claims they never got a transcript they previously supposedly already had.. hmm.

So I'm stuck waiting till next year.. uggh.

I'm sorry to hear that. Apply everywhere that you can. I received my first "thanks, but no thanks" letter a few months ago, and was bummed. Still waiting to hear from others. Keep trying to get accepted. I think most of us are turned down at one time or another.

I agree. Apply everywhere and then you have options. Have you completed all your pre-reqs? You could use fall to finish those or even take a med term or pharm class while you wait. Any and all experience will help out during the nursing program. So good luck and hugs! Never give up...

Make sure you send everything with a required signature, fax it, e-mail it and if possible,.....go there to make sure they got it. Thats what I did and I sent everything by OUAC. The ones who are supposed to send everything to the University themselves. You never know. ((((((hugs))))))
