Oh, the drama... :scrying: :chair: :chair: :chair: :chair: :sniff: Yes, I mean every one of those smilies. Needless to say, too many women in one room day in and day out for HOURS at a time is not the best idea in the world.

So, for those who are interested, let me give you the Cliffs Notes of yesterdays events.

One lady (we'll call her T) blew up on some members in the class because of talking during lectures. This is not the case in the actuality that she is saying, and it really pissed two of the people off. These people approached her, and she left the class and went to the counselors office. During break a little while later, she returned, and those two ladies were called into the office. They were gone for an hour, and returned during our second break.

After the first break, during attendance, my study partner asked me to see my notes. She couldn't read something I had written, so I clarified. T decides to yell "Um, I am so tired of all the damn talking! I just want you to know that I just left the office and I reported all of you for disruptive behavior! I am just tired of it. " Looking right at me. OK.... :angryfire: I don't talk during lectures. I can't. My learning style is listening and taking notes. If, by any chance I was doing ANYTHING else, I would not be holding steady at my 94 average. But I digress.

At this point, I must excuse myself from class before I act like less than a woman. Second break comes, and I go back into class. T is going person to person asking people to sign a petition stating the "Back Right Corner" is disruptive. This type of thing could get a person expelled! So, the five of us, including the two who confronted her, targeted in this bogus petition (that only 7 out of 42 people signed) decided to visit the counselor together. At this point, the instructor can sense she can teach no further and has the counselor come in to speak with the whole class. Like friggin' elementary school! Took up our last 1.5 hours, and we have a test first thing Monday. Grrr... I wake up this morning, body stiff, head pounding.

IT'S ONLY JULY! We have ten months to go! :uhoh3: :uhoh3: :uhoh3: Too damn early for the drama!

Thanks for listening.

Move to another area of the class room! Talking during a lecture is very disruptive (whether you are an A student or a C student) and if she is not the only one to complain, she could have a valid point for going to someone who can fix the situation. Since classes are only two weeks underway and the trouble is already brewing I suggest you do what ever it takes to put some space between yourself and "T", because as someone else said...just wait til the last few weeks....it is maddening. And since it is your first two weeks, you do not want to get the repetition among the instructors for being a trouble maker

I have to agree actually. That's the first thing I thought of. I'd move to another area of the room. T has some problems, but you have months to go and I know I wouldn't want any trouble with my profs. Congrats on the A!

What I find totally rude and disrespectful is audible yawning while the instructor is talking to the class. This happened today, more than once, in my UAP class. I'm surprised the instructor didn't say something, but she didn't. Cell phones also rang at least twice.

T sounds like she has a couple of screws loose.

Wow...yikes! Hang in there...hopefully it'll be better next week.
