Do you have your bachelors in something else? You could do a Accelerated BSN. It takes 12 months.

There are some accelerated BSN programs, for people who already have a BA/BS degree in something other than nursing, that only take 12 months, but they tend to be very competitive, demanding and rigorous (because it's the same two years of content everyone else gets crammed into a 12-18 month time span), and expensive. Other than that, I'm not aware of any "1 year" nursing programs. Both ADN and BSN programs involve two academic years (at least) of nursing courses; hard to see how it could be trimmed down any more than that.

What's the problem, for you, with going to school the same length of time that everyone else does??

Specializes in Cardiac.

Why the rush? Honestly, I'd take my time right now. In 2 years the economy has a better chance of being more stable than in one year.

You can find an LPN program which is a year, that could get you working as a nurse at least.

I think you should check out platt college. I believe their program is a little over a yr.

not that i know of. most programs are 2 yrs and plus dont forget prerequistes. but your better off getting a bsn. itsl longer but worth the investment

heloo and thanks for the reply. i have an associate in sciences and i just finished a bachelors in french do you think that can help?

hello and thanks for the reply i'm just trying to put my associates in sciences and my bachelors in french to use i was thinking maybe they could look at those credits.

University of Rochester has a 1 year accelerated program.

If you can stand the New York winters. ;)

The nearest 1yr program is in birmingham alabama or phoenix city alabama. They have a fast track program that is only 1 day a week. Wallace college has a 4 semester RN program that is very neat. ABAC in Tifton Ga has one where people all over come and attend.

You can complete the accelerated BSN program in 4 semesters. You also don't need to have a bachelors degree.

Good Luck.
