ecampus is mostly where i have gotten used books and they have been well worth ordering ahead of time. i have yet to even get a book with highlighting and have save anywhere from 40-70% over campus book store prices.

i even found my $100 med/surg book for the bargin price of $9.99

ask for a book list complete with ISBN number from your nursing program secretary and order them at least 6 weeks in advance. gives you plenty of time to order them and still have time to read over before classes start.

    good luck!

    Check out Books A Million -- www.bamm.com

They seem to have the lowest prices for NEW books & free shipping on orders over $25---which as we all know---99.99% of all nursing books cost over $25...lol. You get a 10% discount if you become a millionaire member which costs $5 a year. Not bad.

I also found Textbookx.com which sometimes has some good deals.

you can always borrow from the library....I don't have any of my undergrad books anymore. Some of my required graduate books were a bunch of rubbish too. I did buy almost all of them except the ones that weren't available. I AM SO GLAD I didn't buy them all. Having said that buying used can be a money saver especially since most books are 'gently used'.

I use ecampus and amazon.com and save a ton of money! Also, you can sell back some of the books you aren't going to use again (from those fluffy classes like Alternative therapies) and make some of your money back!

    Good Luck!
