What's a good major for my undergrad?

Hey everyone!

I have been doing lots of reading up on becoming a PA. I realize that's a masters degree program so I need to obtain an undergrad of sorts before even getting in there What kind of undergrad degrees are ideal?

If I were to follow my interests I may choose to get a bachelors in nutrition, neuroscience, or psychology, just to name off a few ideas. I am especially interested in someday working in pediatrics or neurology. Hospitals sound super stressful so I would rather work in a physicians clinic.

What are your thoughts?

See what undergrad majors are accepted by the pa schools you plan on applying to. If you wanted to be an APN then that's easy--Major in nursing & get a BSN

Might want to ask your question on a PA forum. This is a nursing forum, so little to no experience with PA issues/education.

A life sciences degree can provide a good base education for health care professionals.

Seems like it may not be a bad idea to study nutritional science with a concentration in therapeutic dietetics or neuroscience since those do fall under life sciences. Still trying to figure out what I am doing. The choices and information out there can be overwhelming.
