What would cause an allergic reaction...

Ok not trying to go for a diagnosis just some input . I have severe allergies to fish/shellfish and flax. This week I have had a bad reaction, on monday I had sunstroke and had a stomach ache and used pepto-bismol but ended up vomiting then the next day I had my tooth pulled and was put on penicillin. Thursday I started my allergic reaction, I start my reactions by getting millions of tiny blisters from head to toe but it becomes a severe reaction with the blisters after I get exposed to my allergen a few times. My severe reaction is when my face swells. Anyways, I know I can get away without taking pepto ever again but should I include penicillin to my list of things not use again. Not seeking medical advice just WWYD?

Just my opinion (need to see your doc, as you know :)).... I wouldn't take it. I have a long list of sensitivities to meds- not all actual allergies, but they made me miserable enough to never want them again, or risk some anaphylactic reaction.... there are a lot of antibiotics to pick from :)

Do you have insurance that covers an allergy screening? If I were you I would avoid those things until you consult a specialist and get a test. Obviously if you can't find out for sure, better safe than sorry.

I see my Dr on tuesday, he was away on vacation this week. Last time I was skin tested for allergies my allergy to shellfish/fish completely didn't show up, which is not uncommon with food so IDK if it works the same with drugs.

It can- allergies can turn up after years of using them without any problem.
