Transition for NA to RN

Has anyone here transitioned from working as a PCNA (or the equivalent) to working as an RN on the same unit? Was it difficult to get used to a new role, and was the staff around you accepting of your new role?

I'll be doing it next month. :)

I went back to a facility that had employed me as a CNA years before. I found many of the same staff still working there. I maintained an air of humility, positivity, and appreciation. Not once have I said 'oh, I'm a nuuurse now, so I'm above xyz'. I would recommend pausing a bit longer than usual to look and listen in a case like this. People most definitely will be watching, gauging your actions and reactions in this new found role!

My boss, our administrator started off as one of our CNA's. I wrote her letter of recommendation for LVN school. She worked up the ranks and was moved into the administrator position based on performance.

If you're mature and perform well, have good interpersonal skills, they will embrace you as a peer.
