Pat, Medceu is not an accredited CE provider with ANCC. They erroneously
claim to be approved through one of our approvers, the Alabama Nurses
Association. I also know that they claim to be approved through the
California board of nursing, but are not. I have had many
inquiries/complaints about Medceu. I have been told that both the AL
Nurses Association and the Florida board of nursing are pursuing
    Medceu on criminal charges.

    Aren't you glad you asked?

    This is so awful.

You are VERY welcome. Perhaps there are others who have been deceived by this company. A letter to the editor may be in order.

Pass the word along to any coworkers who may have been victims.

Thought I'd pull this one back up.

For anyone still curious as to whether the Alabama State Board of Nursing truly accepts CEUs from "MEDCEU", you can click on the link below and see that on their web site, in the "continuing education" area, they have written in bold, red writing that they no longer accept these CEUs and have a phone number to call for more information on the matter.

I remember seeing this on their website back in September or October of 2002.

Just by posting it on this site you have warned many more people than you could imagine.

Hmm, is it still too late to have my Credit Card CO. remove the charge from my account? I think I purchased their special promotion back in August.

lou--Call your CC company and request them to remove the charge, and point out to them that this company is a fraud. You've got nothing to lose but a few minutes on the telephone, after all.
