Today, I read online from my local news carrier, that an AP report out of Bakersfield CA reports a "Calif. woman dies after nurse refuses to do CPR: BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- (AP) A central California retirement home is defending one of its nurses who refused pleas by a 911 operator to perform CPR on an elderly woman who later died, saying the nurse was following policy". I was so incensed, I contacted AP about this. I gave them the following gallup poll link about nursing: http://www.gallup.com/poll/145043/Nurses-Top-Honesty-Ethics-List-11-Year.aspx. Anyone else getting tired of EVERYONE being called a "nurse" by the media?

Not sure what your point is. Are you saying that you know that the individual referenced in the AP article wasn't really a licensed nurse? Are you saying the press shouldn't ever report anything negative about nurses? Is the fact that the public thinks highly of us supposed to override any negative or illegal thing an individual nurse does?

Can you clarify further what you mean?

Unfortunately per EMS tapes, woman identifies herself as a nurse. Please see + respond in our thread Nurse refused to give CPR
