Think this is a good idea?

SO I have take algebra, chemistry, statistics, a& p1, a & p 2, and microbiology, and of course the Pre entrance Exam.. getting prepared to be accepted into the nursing program. What im thinking, since i do not excel in those subjects.. is going to the library and getting books on each subject.. studying, practicing.. (my courses begin this summer).. that way Ill have an extra boost of help for when I start these classes.

Is that a good idea? I just want to do well, I have to earn a B or better in these classes. Anyone else have to take the long road like this.. I have my degree In Early Childhood Education. But I was not required to take these types of science and math courses. So thats what Im up to these days :)

I think it's a great idea if you have the time and aren't taking other classes right now. Find out which books your classes will require and get them and start reading. You'll be ahead of the game!

Always get a head start if you can, because there are always times that one can get behind once classes start. There are great "help" books and tools you can get at the library and online (esp if you search allnurses.com for your subject, one can find a ton of links to videos and websites that are very helpful!). For the harder subjects (like chem for me) I found it was helpful to find a high school chem book that made it really easy to understand, so when the teacher explained the material, I actually got it! Learn all you can in these classes because in nursing school you really really need this stuff.
