Very lucky they were not killed but were they hurt? Lightning can cause horrible trauma.
Here's the story:
Woman still hospitalized after lightning strikes at hospital
By BILL MONTGOMERY
Atlanta Journal-Constitution Staff Writer
One of two employees struck by lightning in separate parking lots at a Marietta hospital is in stable condition this morning.
The second victim was released from Wellstar Kennestone Hospital late Thursday.
Marietta police spokesman Brian Marshall said the women were apparently injured outside their cars as they left during a thunderstorm that swept past the hospital around 7:25 p.m. Thursday.
One employee was struck on the top level of a hospital parking deck. The other was injured on a lower level.
"They're both going to be OK, from what the hospital tells me," Marshall said. Marshall did not have their identities.

Worked at this hospital and know one of the nurses. She's doing fine. Said she wasn't parking in that parking deck anymore:D

"They" say that statistically, you are more likely to get struck by lightning than win the lottery. I wonder what the probability of BOTH happening is................
:rotfl: :roll :chuckle
I'm not trivialising it BTW, it's awful.

I'm glad they are o.k. We have lightening strikes here occasionally two. In fact, more than anywhere in the nation I've read. Can cause heart arrythmias as well as burns.
