I smoke when I wish to smoke, never thought about it and I am a cardiovascular- thorasics nurse..... But I very seldom smoke at work, I dont have time, but if I have time I do go out and smoke and come back. Im not in an area where "Breaks" happen it depends on the caseloads I have in the OR...

For some reason, it won't let me take the poll...
But I have never smoked. Not even one cig...I lead a sheltered life!
I quit about a year ago. Smoked off and on for about 7 years. I really want one right now for some reason though.

I quit about 4 years ago. Every now and then I get that urge. Particularly lately because I've been so stressed.

I had early aversion therapy. My mom smoked like a train, we took lots of car trips and I was always carsick! Associate that queasy feeling with cigarette smoke to this day.

LOL, Heather! I rarely smoke at home, usually when we are just sitting around, grilling, having a drink (which is rare these days!). At work, I can go for hours, even most of the 12 hours shift without one. But then it hits me! I just have to escape and hit the night air and have that wonderful "breathing treatment". I tried Wellbutrin, but it made my heart race. Just can't gather all that willpower to quit. Any good answers?

Now that could be cool. If I didn't end up clucking like chicken or barking like a dog. I hear it works, but.......hmmmmmm, just keep me informed will ya?

You guys are so kewl! Gotta tell you-(only because it'll make me feel good sharing this with you)--I love my cigarettes and they love me. The more I love them the less I smoke them. When I hated them, I smoked them alot. Now that I love them and know that they love me, I hardly need them at all.

    Thanks for broaching the subject.

Under a stressful situation, I crave one, even knowing it will make me nauseous. I rarely cave.....but I do occasionally.
