Question? I'm returning to hospital nursing after home nursing. Required to take S.T.A.B.L.E. course. The book is intimidating. How is the class and is there testing, afterward? Thank you. :bored:

I've wanted to take this course! Never heard of a place requiring it. Very cool. Sorry, don't know anything about the class to help you though :/

I took STABLE as part of my orientation. The book is big, but I did not find the content intimidating (it is written in a user-friendly way with plain language and good pics/illustrations/tables/etc). I think experiences of the class itself will vary greatly - mine was conducted by one of our unit NNPs and it was just myself and two other new nurses, so it was very informal and low stress. There was testing but I remember it being straight-forward and relating directly to the course content (no convoluted or trick question type questions).
