    NurseMelanie - in my opinion, as soon as you start laying hands on patients (when you start clinicals.) Good luck .

    For students with NSO it is $20. We are required to have it and show proof on the first day of clinical. Is this not true of all NUrsing Schools?

    Shouldn't it be?

    I graduated in '89 (showing my age) and it wasn't reqired/or even mentioned in school..I agree with above=get it before you start clinicals whether required or not..just the safe thing to do

    It is required at my school for all nursing students to carry liability insurance. Just seems like a good idea and plus it's super cheap...
