Post interview; Is this a good sign?

Nurses General Nursing

Hi everyone! So i recently interviewed for a Staff Nurse position in a hospital on Wednesday. I received a phone call from the nursing recruiter today (Thursday) but was at work and missed it!! :(

My current job (LTC facility) has a strict 'no cell phones on the unit' policy, so my phone was in my locker. It was hectic today so I was unable to take a break. I saw after my shift (after 11pm) that I received a phone call from the nursing recruiter and she left me a message asking me to call back. She did not disclose any further details. She simply stated what time she would be in the office until today and the time she will be in tomorrow. Since she is contacting me after my interview, could this be a good sign for a possible job offer? Or is it common to hear back from a recruiter after a interview? I am so nervous and can't sleep because I am so anxious to hear what she has to say!

I would love to hear what you all think, or what your experiences have been with hospitals and the hiring process.

Thank you in advancee!!!

Well, I will say that if they have no interest in you, they wouldn't call you and leave a message, asking you to call them back. So yes, I would say it's a positive sign. Let us know what happens when you call her!

It may or may not be a good sign.

Three years ago I received a call from HR notifying me that they opted to go with another candidate. However, rejection phone calls are rarities these days.

If a recruiter calls after an interview, they typically are (or were) interested in potentially extending an offer or arranging a second interview.

Thanks for your response!! I called back and she informed me that they are going to offer me the position!!! I'm so excited!! She said she's not sure when they would need me to start and that she will call me back next week regarding when I will start orientation. It will either be in October or November.

Im so happyy!! =)

She said they are going to offer me the position and asked if I was still interested. I informed her that I am very much so interested and she said she will get back to me next week regarding when I will start orientation!!! :)
