Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago an article about a nursing strike at Butler Hospital - Pittsburgh, PA and consequences of that strike was posted. Thought some of you might like to see what the nurses of our region thought of it.

i didnt read massey's article but if they are his usual fare im thankful i didnt. he is not the brightest star in the sky.

so in the end what did the butler nurses get?

from the news reports i heard, they never got anything in black and white...just some vague statement regarding ratio.

Colleen:

Thank for sharing this article. Gee a 4.6% raise. Hmmm... well.. that is better then the usual fair of a 3% raise I got from the last hosptial I worked at. Notice past tense...

BAM!!!

Man, it did my heart good to read those....and I don't even live in PA. ;)

This the same writer, encouraged nurses to just leave if they didn't like what is going on in nursing. He got slammed by nurses here in Pgh. Perhaps he likes to play the devil's advocate to keep readers interested and keep his job? I can't think of any other reason, as he has to know better. Please all, click on the above post and slam him again!
