I was wondering if anyone has any recent experience working at Oakhill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. I am working at a different hospital which does not really provide opportunities for in-hospital transfers due to lack of resources for training. I am considering applying at Oakhill but my manager and a few other nurses down-talk this place so i am unsure. My main interest is the patient-nurse ratio, as I have been told that is like 8-10 for med/surg. I am wanting to go tele since i am a fairly new nurse with 1 yr med surge and eventually want to work in ICU. Anyone with info? can private message me or email me. Thanks, Nicole

I cant figure out how to PM you? I know a little about Oakhill. Try to PM me.

Hi, I am going to graduate in May, and live in this area and have heard good things about Oak Hill, can anyone expand on some information on this hospital, such as wages for new grads, great departments to work on, and any nurse pt ratios, thank you!

I worked for their sister hospital, Spring Hill Regional, for many years. Oakhill hospital is a wonderful hospital...though it gets a bad rap for some reason. They have always been open to hiring new grads, especially out of the PHCC nursing program. Nothing but great things to say about them.

Good luck to you.

Thank you!

Can you give me some details, pros and cons about Spring Hill regional, from which I also heard good things from. What floor do you work on?

thank you
