Nursing Uniforms that don't need ironing.

Does anyone know of a brand of nursing scrubs that don't have to be ironed when they come out of the dryer? I have tried just about every brand that is made but I have yet to find any material that doesn't need to be ironed. I don't use starch spray because it fades the material faster. I use a plain old spray bottle of water and run the iron over them but it takes up so much of my time to have a crisp uniform. I don't even know of any brands that you can lay flat when they come out of the dryer and to smooth the fine wrinkles out. Any suggestions would be great.

All of the decent blends are okay if you hang them right up. I just don't like puckers. I'm also the last generation of women who ironed everything. I never believed that permanent press stuff. They are MUCH easier to iron than pure cotton but I sometimes wear cotton anyway.

A good iron helps a LOT.

I never iron scrubs. I have all different brands, fabrics, etc. I dry scrub tops on plastic hangers right out of the washer. I hang them on the shower rod, they dry really quickly and without wrinkles. Bottoms, I dry in the dryer and hang them as soon as they are finished.

i second that! i just pull the scrubs out of the dryer, quick spray and go... and it smells so pretty too!

We have a policy that prohibits scents - do you have a similar policy, and has the downy caused any issues for you?

I will not iron. (I have enough to do with DH shirts.) But, I agree that if you want a crisp look, non-iron scrubs (or shirts) never have the same sharp, crisp look. I have just chosen to be "OK" w/ that!

i too, hate synthetics.

but i do acknowledge their practicality.

i wear cotton, and i iron.

i recently spent a sm fortune on sev'l sets of poly blend scrubs.

i hate them, and won't wear them.

and i love spray starch. :)

Try a spray on wrinkle releaser...just spray and tug..NO IRON!!

Or just try hanging them up after washing, no drying.
