moving to el paso in Summer 2011/military

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hi! So my husband just found out that we are being stationed in El Paso (again) when he returns from deployment in July. Im an RN and am really nervous about not being able to find a job. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions regarding employment as an RN in El Paso? I wasnt a nurse when we lived there the first time in 2003 so while I am aware of all the local hospitals, I am unsure about the opportunities available. I just remember that it took me MONTHS to find a minimum wage job the first time we lived there and Im scared to death I wont find a job. Im not bilingual but I know some Spanish and am trying to brush up before the move. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Del sol and las palmas are pretty good places to work. There are rn jobs here. Maybe not in the area you would like, but there are jobs.

William Beaumont Army Hospital.. You should apply now as there credentialing process takes FOREVER! If they have a hiring freeze or something to that effect look into a working as a contractor! Good Luck
