By the time you finish nursing school you're broke! We all have to buy white short sleeve dresses to wear for the ceremony. I wouldn't MIND buying a brand new dress for $40-50 if I knew I'd be wearing it again... but I doubt it. I'd rather pay about $20 for a "preowned" one.

I'm hoping someone out there has a nice one lying around that they're not sentimental about parting with. It can be mailed in a padded envelope, I'll iron it again anyways.

I know it will fit me if it's about 20 inches from armpit to armpit (laid flat).

Please, If you're willing to sell yours just PM me or send a reply.

Thanks,

Nancy:bow:

I don't suppose you have the names and contact info of any of last year's graduates? Maybe it could be a little project that could help other graduates too... a little "hand me down" program from graduates to the next year of students.

That would be too easy:bugeyes:.

Actually, that's not a bad idea for current grads to start volunteering for, I'll ask my program director about it.

Thanks!

If it just has to be short-sleeved and white, http://www.bestbuyuniforms.com has something called the Princess Dress, which I wore for clinicals. Works pretty well, and is about 20 dollars!

I don't need one but had to check it out anyway. It's really nice.

That is a cute dress, just don't forget a slip. :)

Ohh yes, the slip. I was schooled by my grandmother about that years ago... but one of my classmates wore a dress to clinicals - with no slip and a thong!

Every thrift store has millions, if you don't own a slip.

That's the best deal I've seen for a new dress! I'm going to send your link to all my classmates. Thanks!

How about looking in the thrift stores in your area (I'm a big thrift store junkie :D ), or a consignment store? Consignment stores should have the better quality items, but they'll usually cost more.

I wore a white scrub dress, new. It had a snapdown front to waist, and elastic waist. Looked good. Yes, get the slip.

No problem. Just do be advised - it's sized mostly by bust, and your curvier classmates may want to take it in at the waist for a "trimmer" fit.

Try Steinmart...they always have alot of white dresses.

You also need to know if it's supposed to be dressy or not. If it's supposed to be dressy, then I wouldn't buy a scrub dress, because they look like a nursing uniform, not a white dress.
