I am in the midwest (wisconsin) I have signed on to work at a medium-sized hospital after I graduate in May. I have received $12,000 for a two year commitment. I was just interested to see what the sign -on bonuses are like in different regions of the country. :) Jess

Dood, no kidding. I live in Wisconsin and haven't seen any bonuses like that in a while.

Unless it's for Covenant Healthcare - St. Francis Hospital or some unsafe, cess-pool like that.

Anyway, which hospital/health care org?

I have seen a few lately..up to $5000.00, but that was for nights and every weekend.

In Portsmouth, NH a friend of mine just got a 10,000 sign on bonus...it is split over two years. This was for night shift on tele.

Specializes in MS Home Health.

4K to 5K in the Columbus area/2 year commitment....

Where I worked they had sign up bonuses...that was on certain units at the hospital.

You couldn't pay me enough to work on those unit.

I forget what the bonus was but it wasn't $12,000...something a lot less.

Ask many questions about the floor to the interviewer....go to the floor and see how it's run. Even ask another R.N. working on the floor how they like it. G.L.
