and vicodin and stuff?? I got a call today after a Rx fill that when I run out again I have to come in because Darvocet was no longer going to be on the market so we would have to figure out a new plan.

I have taken Pecocet, Vicodin, and Ferrnal sp? before with no bad reactions. It will be months before I have to go back in because it's not ever often I have to take it, but if this are in the same catergory then I won't need to trial and error with anything else.

Not sure if this is the right spot to post this, if not I apologize, but I figured the people here would surely know.

Good question for your doctor.

Or your pharmacist.

Darvocet: http://www.drugs.com/cdi/darvocet-n-100.html

Propoxyphene: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propoxyphene

"Dextropropoxyphene is an optical isomer of levopropoxyphene; the racemic mixture is called propoxyphene. It can be used to ease surgical pain both prophylactically and palliatively.

While it is possible to classify dextropropoxyphene as a mild opioid pain-killer, some studies indicate it may be no more effective than aspirin in treating pain.[4][4][5] Although there is no peer-reviewed evidence that this combination is any more effective than paracetamol alone, there is significant anecdotal evidence from patients that Darvocet is more effective than paracetamol. Nevertheless, a third of patients suffering chronic pain report relief from that pain when treated with placebo."

The internet is cool.
