hello nurses,

i went on an interview on thursday, sent a thank you note to the nurse manager and the recruiter the same day. i haven't heard anything back from both of them and now i'm starting to worry.

my question is how long should i wait before i call the recruiter or email the nurse manager ( i only have her email address) and what do i say without coming off as desperate or pusher.

This may depend on what they told you. How soon are they expecting to make a decision? If that was not discussed, then you have a perfect intro - ask the recruiter when a decision will be made and if you are still being considered. That is a fair question.

Send a second "thank you letter" Example of one I sent after a 2 week wait:

Thank you for interviewing me on (day of week / date. I enjoyed meeting you and also learned a great deal about how the hospital "works". I truly appreciate all the time and care you took in telling me about the job and learning more about me.

If you need to reach me anytime, or need me to convey other information to you, please feel free to call me at (telephone number), or by sending me an e -mail at ( email mail adress.

Specializes in Hospice, Palliative Care, OB/GYN, Peds,.

I really think that you should address any questions to the recruiter, it might seem desperate to call the director. The recruiter is making the big bucks so let her/him do the work.
