Interesting post because I don't have any pop up windows when I visit this site. I wonder if the pop ups are from somewhere else or if I am just very lucky?

I've never gotten pop-ups here at allnurses, even before I had the anti-pop-up program!

Make sure you are still logged into the site. When I am not logged in I get apop-up when I first access the site.

The only popup we have is inviting visitors to sign up for our newsletter, and if you have cookies enabled in your browser, you should only see that once, that should be the only pop up you see from allnurses.com.
Is it possible that you have a file sharing program running in the background, like Kaaza, iMesh, or Morpheus? Many of these file sharing programs can install other programs or are advertising supported and have popups, so the pop ups may becoming from a different source other than a website. There are many other software programs that you are able to download that may install programs that run the background as well. You just have to be careful and know what you are installing.
But, please be assured that they are not comming from allnurses.com
