I am wanting to become a nurse because I want patient contact, I want to help someone directly not in a lab running lab tests.

i think I will feel much useful that way. I know I am useful now, but I will feel at least more useful.

My end goal is more decision making so I will get my masters in np eventually. But for now, it will be working as an rn. I want to know what is what you like the most about your proffesion and what do you dislike?

are patients respecting you? Are doctors respecting you? Do you feel you have any decision making ability at all or you just follow strict rule? That is the reason why I want np is for being able to run the show a little more .
