RN

Clinic Manager
$6,800.00 month
Moonlighting job:
RN
16
NICU
$31.86/hr
This gets a little confusing due to my change in status from LPN for 6 years to RN for 4 months but here goes:
Job 1 Full time, full benefits
RN
CCU in a large teaching hospital
4 months experience
$20.16/hr+ shift
Job 2
RN, former LPN worked in this positions for 1 year
LTC Charge nurse, Pool, no benefits
$ 24.50/hr plus shift
Old Job
LPN for 5.5 year
Pediatric Office Nurse
$13.40/hr with no shift
All postions in SE Pennsylvania, suburban Philadelphiad. I think I'm moving to TX.
RN
2.5 years
Transitional Care Unit at LTC
$28/hr as PRN nurse-no benefits, no shift differentials- can always pick up 1-2 shifts per week if desired- great way to earn extra money, keep license current, and stay home with my two small children.
Trying to convince my Aunt, who's been an LPN for years, to FINALLY leave her current floor where she's only making $13.35/hr. :(
NO nurse with many years experience should have to submit to this low wage EVER!
OK: I' finding aout that there are so many different salaries depending on level of instruction, experience, location, employers, etc. Here in Uruguay we can't compare our salarieswith yours.
We are not payed in dollars, and our currency is very weak compared to dollar. I would like to know if American RN can live with what they make?, or they need a husband working too in order to pay rent or buy a house or sent their children to college'
jow hard is it to live whith thas incomes.
Here we need 2 jobs, that means 12 hs a day 24 days a month, to deal with normal living. Or having our husband a very well paid job.
