How do you get a toddler to take fluids?

NO medical advice, please! I just want suggestions on getting fluids in a toddler who is sick and refuses to drink. She's got a fever and has been sleeping all morning, won't take anything. She's not old enough to negotiate with. I've tried popsicles, juice, flavored pedialyte. Any other ideas?

OTC Drymamine(sp?) (the motion sickness med) is an antiemetic.

Try Jello, kids love jello.

She's not vomiting

Me too, Trauma, but the problem is she wouldn't take anything no matter how I coaxed. I ate more of the popsicle than she did!

soda pop!

any kind the kid wants!

Tazzi,

I'm so glad she's doing much better. It's so...scary when our little one's are sick. Just went through it myself with my 14 month old.

Applesauce has fluids and cooling to throat without being too cold.

Little older plastic freeze pop cut in half, wrapped in napkin worked for my sons...stocked up for yr at start of summer.

18yo wanted cough medicine from his alligator measuring spoon other day...

Lots of great mom/nurse advice here. Sure beats weak tea enema's from the late 50's my mother was told to give us kids per doctors advice.
