I went into nursing wanting to be a nicu nurse. I first was a lpn and now I am about to graduate from my nursing program. I am trying to find a facility that will train new grads. I live in a small city that is saturated by nurses. I am willing to relocate I just need to be directed in the right direction.......

Intermountain healthcare in the state of Utah takes plenty of new grad RNs into their newborn ICUs. I dare say they even prefer it.

A lot of level III and level IV units will hire new grads. A common belief is that it's easier to teach someone from scratch than re-train someone used to adults. I'd suggest looking into some of the larger units and/or teaching hospitals around the country since many of them have internship/residency programs. I was hired into a residency in a level III NICU serving a mid-sized city and dozens of surrounding rural communities. Not a teaching hospital but a large-ish unit.
