Has coffee taken over?

So how many of you HATED coffee before starting nursing school or before pre- reqs but now find yourself running for it and finding it a necessity to stay awake? Can I say "Moi"!!!

Not for me.....I'm a tea girl all the way. But it needs to be real tea, good strong stuff Lipton or similar just won't do it.

Late nite studying calls for a big pot of strong tea :-)

Peace,

Coffee is most definitely nectar from the gods! Can you believe that my coffee maker broke midway through the semester. Being the poor student that I am, I couldn't afford to replace it. I guess I could have if I didn't buy a cup of DD coffee on the way to class but that would have meant a whole month without coffee until I saved enough money. I couldn't make it through lecture without at least one 16oz. cup of coffee.

I am very guilty of that pleasure myself. I can not afford Starbucks all the time, but I have to have Cappucino or Latte every day. I buy the instant package and prepare it myself. You are right it all started with nursing school in my case....

Target had a coffe maker on sale for $5. Fred's has them pretty cheap too. My cousin is buying different stuff to have for when she finishes nursing school and moves out on her own. She doesn't even drink coffee but bought the $5 coffee maker JUST because it was five dollars. It may not be the greatest, but it will get you by.:smokin:

Is it on sale this week? Ooh great! I'm at Target all of the time but I've never seen a $5 coffee maker. I'll run over there after work.

Thanks

I've never been a coffee drinker. But during nursing school now, I've been tempted to start. So far though, my method has been to study, sleep, study, sleep..........

I must tell my coffee story.

Not in nursing school- but at school for my BA. I saw a very handsome guy in the med school library. then my friend walks in- she talks to him and then to me. She has a boyfriend, I don't so I tell her I think he's cool- and we get set up on a date. I go on this date, the man can not talk at all- I mean I sat there for 10 minutes and he said nothing. So I had a pretty annoying time. and felt very stressed because he kept asking to see me again, etc. When I got back to my dorm, my friend was making some of the General Foods International coffees- mostly sugar, and I decided that it was time. Unfortunately, for me, it has been a complete slide into loving it alot. Still- my family teases me because I generally make a full cup and then drink about half of it... I like it- but...I get distracted. I'm also rather fond of tea of any variety- as long as it is tea, and not some sort of fruit concoction.
