So I applied for this job that I really want.

I went for my first interview and wow- I want it more now.

I got called back for a second interview last Friday and I think it went really well.

Well... it is Wednesday and I haven't heard a thing and they said I should hear something from Human Resources on Monday or Tuesday. Should I call and follow up or should I wait another day or two?

Specializes in Cardiovascular recovery unit/ICU.

Hi all! I'm new here and glad to be a me member. I have been out of the nursing field for.......here we go. 15 years to raise my three kids. Two of which were very ill with severe asthma. I have enrolled in a refresher RN course at a local community college and I'm about to start my 100 clinical hours. My experience is nine years in cardiovascular recovery unit. I have great experience but no recent. Any tips for my resume or how to approach potential employees? I really want to go back into my former field but know I may not be able to start in critical care right away. Any advice would be much appreciated. I hope they understand that raising children, especially sick ones is worth something.

Specializes in ED, Pedi Vasc access, Paramedic serving 6 towns.

To the OP I would give it until next Monday before you consider calling HR. Did you send a thank you note? Often that is a great way to remind them you exist and that you are still interested in the position.

Hiring takes time and the wait can be long and frustrating, but try and be patient!
