:confused:Hello, Im new here and I was wondering if someone could help me with this delema I have. Im a new lvn grad with no prior nursing experience and I was offered $15 at a clinic, but I also have a interview with a hospital in a couple of days. I dont know if I should take the clinic position or deny them and hope to find something else?

Specializes in psych. rehab nursing, float pool.

Asked them at the clinic if you can give your answer in a couple of days. If not I would take it rather then risk not having a job at all. I would still interview at the hospital and hope to get in, but it is very difficult in some parts of the country without any experience.

Good luck in whatever you choose.

Specializes in med/surg/tele/neuro/rehab/corrections.

One in the hand is worth two in the bush. Say yes to the clinic job. New LVN's that I know who have accepted jobs in clinics are very happy with the job and the hours they work :) It's a great place to start out.

Specializes in med-surg,Ortho, Peds, LTAC.

If you intend to continue on in your education, I would certainly consider the hospital job. Let the clinic know you will let them know very soon, but that you are of course still interviewing.
