Just wondering what is used for patients who are burned but allergic to Sulfa (Silvadene Cream, silver sulfadiazene).

i heard that in some of the silver products they are actually designed in a way so it won't cause the patient to have an allergic reaction, but cant be certain about that, i'd just humbly await the expert on allnurse for answer as not long ago i've had a pt who was exactly allergic to silver dressing

Xeroform, Polysporin, Triple antibiotic oint, Chlorexedine-soaked gauze dressings, honey (yes, that kind of honey), that's what I can draw from memory right now. Source: My search of UpToDate within the last 2 years.
