Breast Question

We had a middle age woman recently who c/o an electric current type of feeling intermittently in the right breast for a few months. Gentle sensation, not really painful, just noticeable and different from anything she'd ever felt. Mammo and US WNL, per breast specialist.

Perhaps related to neck / Thoracic spine degeneration / bone spurring?

Good that it's not cancer, but curious as to what it is, what type of Doc would actually be able to give a Dx.

Any insights, differential Dx, words of wisdom? Thanks

Hormones? Perimenopause can cause breast tenderness/odd sensations. So can weight gain.

I felt that type of "electric current" through my breast with shingles. But that surely was not the case with your patient.

No, thankfully not shingles. Probably hormones/menopause. Thanks for input.
