Hello!

I am a new grad RN. I finished my ADN and currently enrolled for my BSN and have been taking classes. I still have 2 more semesters to go until I finish my BSN. I got a job offer at Banner Health. How does their school tuition disbursement work and who do I talk to? Thank you!

Thank you for asking, but I'm not sure how any of us could know that. Why not ask those questions of someone in HR at Banner Health? Those are perfectly logical questions to ask when you receive a job offer.

I've worked with Banner Health for 12 years, I haven't used their tuition reimbursement yet, but I believe there are certain times of the year to sign up for it. You pay for your classes, then after passing them with I believe and "C" or higher they reimburse you after you give them proof of passing and receipts of cost of the class. After receiving reimbursement you have to stay with Banner for another 2 years I think. At any rate, if I were you I would talk to your HR representative.

If you go to the Banner Health website you may be able to find some info there too

I work for Banner Health and I have used the tuition reimbursement.

The post by tlynn is correct, applications for reimbursement are twice a year. Some schools in my area area willing to wait until each class ends for payment, if they know you are associated with a facility that they work with. Another bonus, some schools give a discount to students working at facilities that they have "partnered" with. You do have to earn a "C" or better to qualify.

There is a $5,000. per year maximum reimbursement!

Here is the downside. Not everyone who applies gets reimbursement. There is apparently a magic number of applications that are approved, based on who knows what.

I know that I got lucky. I just don't know why. :geek:

Best of luck to you.
