Hey, I've got an interview for a job working flu clinics. It's through an agency that staffs flu clinics at grocery stores and pharmacies. Has anyone ever done this before? It sounds very low stress, and the money is very good!!:smokin:

Yeah, I've done it. The only thing I would find out about is if you have to collect money from the patients. I did not and that made it relatively easy to do. I will be doing it again this fall.

hi christine ,

i did this one season when i was between jobs.if you are lucky enough to have a clerk to handle the paperwork it makes it much easier.the program i worked for had nurses and clerks .we(nurses) had to learn the paperwork in case the clerk did not show .sometimes you would work with another nurse usually an rn,lpn and a clerk.sometimes just alone or with a clerk .it depended on the need or availability of staff.it also depended on the locale of the flu clinic.that line could roll down an aisle and wrap around to the back of the store.

otherwise it was an interesting and sometimes fun job.the day usually flew by and you barely had time to have a break(somethings never change)i would recommend it .at the very least try it out for a few clinics.

I have been trying to get connected with a flu clinic here in Myrtle Beach, SC if anyone knows of any. But it sounds like a lot of fun. I have done the flu clinics at the hospital I work for though.
