So how do you find a mentor? Or someone to ask questions of when you don't trust your instructors and you are a student, and your wondering if you made a big mistake but you don't trust your instructor enough to ask her, and the primary nurse seems to be avoiding the patient, because he is challenge to care for? It would take to much information and risk HIPPA problems to ask it here. Opps sorry about the run on sentence but I've had 2 hours of sleep in the last 36 hours.

Sorry to say, but if you have made a mistake, especially a big mistake, it IS your responsibility to tell your instructor. What the mistake happened to be will dictate whether the doc needs to be notified or if the patient needs additional monitoring. We can't help if you don't tell us. :) hope everything works out, Ivanna

I've found the big mistakes find you, and when it does the mentors come out of hiding. Just keep your eyes open, and look for a sympathetic face, open your intellect and you'll see mentors everywhere.
