Hello fellow nurses,
Anyone starting the RN to BSN at GCU?
I recently just withdrew from the GCU program. I finished two classes with A’s in both of them and then got a call about a 100 hour capstone, having to find my own outpatient facility, 10 hours a week with multiple assignments over 10 weeks.. not to mention my health assessment class consisted of hours of doing online assessments on virtual patients and I felt it to be a waste of time since I’m already working as an RN on the med-surg floor doing this daily. Each class has roughly 15-20 assignments, multiple papers, discussion posts and team projects, which seemed like ALOT OF WORK. So I switched to Capella’s flex-path which several RN’s I know have went through loved it. my first class only has 3 assignments and it is based off of how quickly I want to complete the program. It’s roughly 2,500$ for 3 months and you can take 1 class or do the entire program in those 3 months. I wasn’t set to graduate until end of September next year and with Capella I’ll probably have my BSN my December of this year. They do have a capstone but it’s nothing like GCU at all!
Hello, all of my fellow RN colleagues. I start officially tomorrow. First assignment due today. On Memorial Day ??! But it’s OK! Can I get a run down on what to except. I were told I only have 10 classes! Then ,now it’s 11. I red someone’s gripe ??????Scroll Up ! So can I have another individuals opinion, please!

Absolutely ? recommended GCU by me. I started Jan 2020 on track to complete March 2021.
I spend 3 days on school work and log in 3 times a week to post on board to get full credits.
It's pretty simple easy and straightforward.
I don't like group work but it is what it is. I do my best.
Email you need more info.
